Reading
We are reading Messenger, Messenger this week. It is about a bike messenger in New York City. Along with it we will be talking about living in a city and introducing the vocabulary words urban, suburbs, and rural. Students will be introduced to daily literacy centers this week. Most of the students will be doing these on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
Writing
Students are learning to brainstorm writing ideas, add detail, and share with partners and whole group.
Phonics
We will focus on the letters B and N this week and the sounds they make. Identifying syllables
Math
Pairing sets with numbers and pairing one-to-one.
Science
Different fabrics.
Social Studies
Community helpers and social emotional skills.
Wish List
-I need some unlined note cards (variety of colors)
-I am always in need of little toys/presents for the classroom store (use your discretion, nothing expensive, dollar store trinkets are great)
